A lot of pool owners use their eyes to judge whether a swimming pool is clean or not. A lot of pool owners think if their pool is crystal clear, then it is therefore safe to swim. Here are the simplest signs that show you if your pool is safe to swim or not.

If your swimming pool water is crystal clear but frogs and water insects are present in your swimming pool, then be rest assured that your swimming pool water is contaminated and there for carry micro- organisms as well.

Like a dam with water that looks clean but full of harmful micro- organisms, a pool can easily be the same.

To avoid doubt about the condition of your pool water, a pool owner is required to buy a pool water test kit or test strips. The dual pool test kit and pool test strips are easy to use. The results your water test kit produces will tell you how to balance your water. Test your water first before adding chemicals, and retest after adding the required amount of chemicals.

Using a pool water test kit is the only way to make sure your pool water is chemically balanced. So the only sure way to know if your water is chemically balanced, sanitized and safe to swim is by testing your water with a test kit only. PH is how basic or acidic your pool water is. Normal pH should be between 7.2- 7.8. Balancing your pH requires pool acid or soda ash to ensure swimmers comfort on skin and eyes.

Use them to test your pool water and add sanitizing chemicals as recommended by your test kit.
